Dr. Gokul Bhanwath brings over four decades of medical experience and compassionate care to his practice. He is a graduate of Bangalore University in India, where he began his career in family medicine. During his early years, he also volunteered with the Rural India Project, providing essential healthcare services to underserved communities in partnership with the Baptist Church of America.
In 1979, Dr. Bhanwath immigrated to Canada and pursued advanced medical training at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. His postgraduate education included pediatrics, surgery, family medicine, and general practice anesthesia. After completing his training, he worked in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, before moving to Prince George, British Columbia, in 1985.
Dr. Bhanwath established a successful family practice in Prince George, where he served the community for over 25 years. He was an active staff member at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia and a founding member of the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC).
