Acceptance of these terms

Welcome to the website of Eau Claire Medical Clinic ("the Clinic," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using this website (eauclaireclinic.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the website.

02

Who we are & what this covers

Eau Claire Medical Clinic is a family medicine clinic located in downtown Calgary, Alberta. These terms govern your use of this website and the information and features offered through it — such as learning about our services, finding us, and contacting the Clinic.

These terms apply to the website only. The care you receive at the Clinic is governed separately by professional, ethical, and legal standards that apply to medical practice in Alberta.

03

Eligibility & your responsibilities

When you use this website, you agree to:

  • Use the website only for lawful purposes and in line with these terms;
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information when you contact us or request an appointment;
  • Take responsibility for the information you submit through the website;
  • Confirm that you are authorized to act on someone else's behalf if you book or submit information for another person.

This website is intended for people in Alberta and Canada seeking the Clinic's services.

04

Not medical advice

In a medical emergency, call 911 immediately. Please do not send urgent or sensitive medical information through this website.

The content on this website is for general information only and does not constitute medical advice. It is not a substitute for a consultation with a qualified health professional, and using the website does not create a doctor–patient relationship. Always seek the advice of your physician or another qualified provider with any questions about a medical condition.

05

Appointments, cancellations & communications

Appointment requests made through this website or by phone are subject to confirmation by the Clinic. Submitting a request does not guarantee an appointment until we confirm it.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, we ask that you give us as much notice as possible — ideally at least 24 hours — so we can offer the time to another patient. Repeated missed appointments without notice may affect your ability to book in the future.

By giving us your contact details, you consent to receive communications related to your care and appointments (such as confirmations and reminders) by phone, text message, or email. You may opt out of non-essential messages at any time.

06

Acceptable use & prohibited conduct

This website and our systems are provided for legitimate patients and visitors. You agree not to:

  • Access, or attempt to access, areas, accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to use;
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the website, or breach or circumvent any security or authentication measures;
  • Introduce malware, or interfere with, overload, or disrupt the website, servers, or networks — including denial-of-service attempts;
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers, or harvesters) to access, copy, or collect content or data without our written permission;
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, impersonate another person, or make appointments or requests in bad faith;
  • Use the website or our systems to commit fraud, or for any unlawful, harmful, or deceptive purpose.

We take fraud, misuse, and abuse of our systems seriously. We may refuse or withdraw service, block access, preserve logs and evidence, and report suspected unlawful activity to the appropriate authorities. We reserve all rights and remedies available to us.

07

08

Third-party links & services

This website may contain links to third-party websites or services — such as maps, video hosting, or our patient portal — that we do not control or operate. We provide these for your convenience and are not responsible for their content, practices, or availability. Your use of any third-party site or service is at your own risk and subject to that party's terms and privacy policy.

09

Your privacy

We handle your personal and health information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. By using this website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood how we collect, use, and protect your information.

10

Disclaimers

This website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While we work to keep the website accurate, current, and secure, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any information on it is complete or up to date at all times.

11

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eau Claire Medical Clinic and Arxeon Inc., along with their respective directors, staff, and service providers, will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss.

12

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Eau Claire Medical Clinic and Arxeon Inc. from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of this website, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any rights of another party.

13

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and we will update the "last updated" date above. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms, so please review this page periodically.

14

Governing law & disputes

These terms and your use of this website are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that the courts located in Alberta will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the website.

15

General & how to contact us

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will stay in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, make up the entire agreement between you and the Clinic regarding your use of this website.
